The Adelaide Oval Stadium Management Authority (AOSMA) is the organisation responsible for the management of the redeveloped Adelaide Oval precinct and is a joint venture between football (South Australian National Football League) and cricket (South Australian Cricket Association).  In addition to running the stadium, AOSMA is responsible for the delivery of a tourism program including Adelaide Oval Tours, the newly launched Commonwealth Bank RoofClimb as well as what is believed to be the world’s only fine dining restaurant within a sports stadium – Hill of Grace Restaurant.

AOSMA employs approx. 180 full-time staff, plus 1,700 casual employees, in roles including operations, customer service, chefs, cooks, supervisors, baristas, bar and functions staff and stores attendants, making Adelaide Oval one of the state’s largest employers in the hospitality and tourism sectors.

As well as managing a busy function and event business at Adelaide Oval, AOSMA also oversees the hospitality services for a number of off-site venues including Titanium Security Arena, Ukaria Cultural Centre and Monarto Zoo.

Kitchen Administration Coordinator

The Kitchen Administration Coordinator is fundamental in contributing to the efficient operation of the entire Kitchen Brigade.  This position reports directly to the Director of Cuisine and the Executive Chef.  As an integral part of the Kitchen Team, you will provide high level administrative support in the areas of recruitment and inductions, quality control, food hygiene and safety and rostering of the Casual Kitchen Brigade. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all WHS and Adelaide Oval policies and procedures.
  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Cuisine & Executive Chef.
  • Assist in all areas of HACCP administration and Kitchen quality control.
  • Managing Casual Labour including utilization, forecasting and scheduling of rosters.
  • Coordinate the recruitment, selection and on-boarding of Casual Kitchen workforce.
  • Manage and coordinate Apprentice training rosters.
  • Operational support for all Hospitality kitchens external to Adelaide Oval.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in:

  • The ability to maintain high workloads and meet deadlines within specific time frames.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to think laterally to achieve Departmental goals.
  • Confidence to work autonomously in a hands-on capacity.
  • Intermediate experience with the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook and Excel

Please note that out of hours will be a requirement of this role. This includes nights, weekends, public holidays and Major Event Days at Adelaide Oval. This is a hands-on role and the successful candidate must be flexible with their hours and available for all major events at Adelaide Oval.
