Kitchen Equipment Service Technician
We have a newly created role to join our Maintenance Team. To hit us for six in this role, you will be a proactive and reliable individual who enjoys being “hands-on” and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will have a strong mechanical background, either as a qualified catering mechanic, complemented by a passion for process improvement and a commitment to maximising equipment uptime.
What you'll be working on:
- Coordinate all catering equipment repairs
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive preventative maintenance programs for all large main kitchen equipment.
- Accurately document all maintenance activities within the maintenance management system.
- Oversee and optimise the spare parts inventory to support ongoing requirements
- Adhering to safety regulations and procedures when working with all equipment.
What you'll bring:
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of electrical, mechanical, and gas systems related to catering equipment.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues quickly and efficiently.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with all departments and relevant staff.
- Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service and building rapport with all departments and staff.
- Licensing/Certifications: Depending on the specific role, licenses or certifications in electrical, gas, or refrigeration may be required.
- 5+ years relevant experience

Please note that some out of hours work will be a requirement of this role, in line with the business operations of Adelaide Oval. This includes weekend work and working on Major Event Days at Adelaide Oval or the surrounding associated venues.
