Executive Sous Chef - Bespoke Wine Bar & Kitchen

Bring your creativity, leadership and passion for food to the iconic Oval Hotel. We’re looking for an experienced Executive Sous Chef to help lead our kitchen team at Bespoke Wine Bar & Kitchen, our premium a-la-carte dining destination celebrated for innovation, quality and world-class service. 

This is your chance to step into a hands-on role where you'll inspire, mentor and balance culinary artistry with operational excellence. Working in conjunction with Adelaide Oval’s Executive Chef, you’ll oversee daily operations, maintain compliance and cost control, and contribute to the success of the broader Adelaide Oval kitchen brigade.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Partner with the Executive Chef to craft standout menus across breakfast, lunch and dinner 
  • Drive culinary excellence through modern techniques and efficient procedures
  • Manage kitchen operations to hit business goals and stay on budget
  • Recruit, mentor and develop the Bespoke Kitchen Brigade, fostering a collaborative team culture
  • Work hand-in-hand with Front of House to deliver unforgettable guest experiences
  • Uphold the highest standards of food safety, HACCP compliance and presentation 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Trade qualified Chef with 5+ years experience in premium dining or hotel environments
  • Calm, confident leadership with a proven ability to inspire your teams
  • Experience in a wide variety of service styles and ability to innovate
  • Creative flair and precision in presentation, technique and execution.
  • Strong financial and budgeting skills combined with commercial oriented approach
